On behalf of the members of Stoke Parish Council, we would like to sincerely thank Ward Cllr Michael Pearce for handing in our 'Save the Lower Stoke Car Park' petition at Medway Council's full council meeting on Thursday 17th July.
As of yesterday, we received an email from Medway Council to verify that the petition has been accepted and referred to the 'Director of Place', who should provide a response to us by the beginning of August.
In fact, hours before our petition was due to be handed in, we learnt that there were additional signatures being held at the Peninsula East Primary Academy, so our total has now risen to 1368 signatures.
I know we have said this before, but we'd like to say it again. A big THANK YOU to everyone who signed our petition; we will keep you updated once we know more.
